Kabelvåg, Lofoten´s oldest fishing village, has traditions dating back to the Middle Ages. Lofoten «Cathedral», the Aquarium and the Fishing Museum are worth visiting. Just outside Kabelvåg is the modern tourist centre Nyvågar.
