PICTURES from STRANDA
The tourist trade in Stranda municipality is varied and robust. Stranda has a very varied economy with a wide range of jobs. It has 160 modern meat-production and dairy farms. Geiranger and Hellesylt were popular destinations from an early date.

 The Eagle Road
The "Eagle´s Road" (Ørnesvingen) is the name of the steep and winding road upwards from the fjord towards Eidsdal. Through 11 hairpin bends you will reach the highest point at 620 meters above sea level.

Geiranger and its fjord are examples of Mother Earth at her most beautiful and impressive. Tourists have been overwhelmed by the beauty of this region since the arrival of the first cruise ship in 1869.
