Indre Kvarøy island is a small community in itself with its own kindergarten, school, shops, community centers, stair plant and the corner stone industry Kvarøy Fiskeoppdrett. The island has two daily visits, by the Torghatten Nord fast boat service, which runs between Bodø and Sandnessjøen.

Kvarøy Sjøhus (rorbu) has three bedrooms and six beds. Extra beds may be added on request. Bed linen and towels are provided. Adjacent to the cabins are facilities for cleaning your catch, so you can prepare the freshest seafood dinner imaginable.

Kvarøy Sjøhus offer a visit to a modern salmon farming facility, our guide will explain how the fish grows from eyed roe to salmon fry, and show you the development from smolt to fully mature fish. The aquaculture expert will explain the care that keeps the fish healthy and thriving. At the end of our tour, you will have the opportunity to taste prime quality, locally produced salmon.
