 Skånevikfjord

The village Skånevik is located in western Etne. Skånevik is known as "The pearl of Sunnhordland". The idyllic town has about 1000 inhabitants, and has a distinguished centre with old wooden houses. It was one of the canidates from the western part of Norway in the national event to find the most well-kept town in relation to Norwegian building tradition.

Skånevik fjordhotel lies a stones throw from the fjord in picturesque Skånevik, a village located beside the Skånevikfjord at the mouth of the Hardangerfjord. Look westwards and enjoy the view of the open coastal landscape while daydreaming that you are out there on the boundless ocean.

One morning at the ferry "M/S Fjordbris" from Skånevik to Bergen. The trip started 05.25 via Sunde, Ranavik, Leirvik, Rubbestadneset, Bekkjarvik, Hufthamar and Flesland before it ended in Bergen approx. 08.00 o´clock.
