 Lyngås Motor Court

The last race is run on Lyngås Motor Court. On Saturday marked the NMK Drammen end on a 30-year period with a number of EM-rounds and not least the thousands of spectators with many good memories.

Lyngås Motor racing has been an institution in the Norwegian motorsport for more than 30 years. The first Norwegian Championship round in rallycross was run on the track in 1980, and a total of 25 times it is run EM-round in the gravel pit in Lier. Recent EM-round was run in 2004. In 2010 could NMK Drammen celebrate 90 years with jubileumsløp on Lyngås, then celebrated its 30th anniversary.

But now it´s over. The area should be landfill, and NMK Drammen must look for other areas of cutting in the future.

Attempt race went under the name Super Final, and among the participants were EM-drivers Alexander Hvaal and Morten Bermingrud. Bermingrud, who lives in Krokstadelva, are those who have run many laps on Lyngås path through his career. It was Hvaal that won the class for Super Cars on Saturday, followed by Bermingrud.

NMK Drammen want to thank all the drivers, teams, fans and not least officials for all the help and support that day.
