 Trond Nordahl Bredesen

Trond Nordahl Bredesen is a Norwegian illustrator. Bredesen is a graduate of the yearlong character line on Formingslærerhøgskolen at Notodden and Fachhochschule Münster in Germany, where he studied from 1979 to 1983. He has since worked freelance, from 1988 in drawing community "Illustratørene" in Oslo.

As an illustrator he has worked with a wide range of assignments in design, communication and advertising; He works with books, advertising, logo design, magazines, newspapers, murals for restaurants, exhibition stands and gaskets. Illustrated milk cartons for Tine and logo, posters and menus for pizza chain Dolly Dimple (click on icon "Seals and covers"), including as an illustrator for Bjørn Sortlands many titles in children book series about "Kunstdetektivene."

Bredesen use several drawing and painting techniques, and often vary the style, but has an assured line with clear figure drawing, recognizable detail and frequent use of graphical effects.

Bredesen has received several awards for his work, including Gullblyanten for TINE drawings in the 1990s, in the visual competition, the year´s most beautiful books and Culture Ministry illustration price (Kulturdepartementets illustrasjonspris).
