 Senja

Ersfjorden is a fjord on the north side of the island of Senja. The fjord is seven kilometers long. It begins between Oksneset in the northeast and Sporra in the southwest, and sails southwards into the village of Ersfjord, the innermost part of the fjord.

From the southern side of the fjord is the fjord arm of Steinfjorden. The Ersfjorden is surrounded by high, steep and sharp mountains, where the highest reaches up to about 800 meters above sea level. Among the mountains are the characteristic Okshornan, also called the Devil´s Teeth (look approx. 18 minute into the video)). Ersfjorden has a marina and is famous for its beautiful sandy beach.

Fylkesvei 862 runs along the inner part of the fjord.
