Adventures SWIMMING

You will find many attractive bathing areas. Beaches along the coast and inland temperatures reach +20 degrees C especially in the south. In the north, temperatures may also be high enough to make swimming possible. Some of the larger hotels have swimming pools or there are leisure centres in many places. Bathing beaches are signposted along the roads - enquire at the local tourist office about bathing places available.

Alternatively, visit one of the many indoor waterworlds, which offer several activities for both children and adults. Some have either outside or inside pools or both but normally offer the following; water slides and shutes, wave machines, activity pools, jaquzzis and sunbeds.

The norwegian beaches get the Blue Flag in 2011 is: Bystranda and Hamresanden in Kristiansand, Sjoestrand and Hvalstrand in Asker, Storoeyodden in Bærum and Helleneset in Bergen.

NATURIST BEACHES

Huk Nude Beach

This is a very popular and highly frequented official free beach on the Bygdøy close to the center of Oslo.

Kalvøya Nude Beach

This official free beach is located on Kalvøya and lies just outside Sandvika, south-west of Oslo. The beach is just opposite the Henie-Onstad museum of art (Sonja Henie) at Høvikodden.

Strandskog Nude Beach

This official nude beach is located by Bunnefjorden south of Oslo.

Svartkulp

This is an official free beach in a small forest lake with bog water east of the some what larger lake Sognsvann in the northern outskirts of Oslo.

Langøyene Nude Beach

This official free beach is located in a public recreational area on an island in the harbour of Oslo.

Skåtangen Nude Beach

This is an unofficial, but popular free beach. An idyllic place at the southern tip of the island Tjøme, south of Tønsberg.

Roppestad

Official free beach located in a public recreational area at the eastern side of the lake Farris. The free beach is run by the Naturist Club Vestviken.

Glomstadbukta Nude Beach

This beach is situated at the outlet of the river Bråstadelva in the lake Mjøsa, about 3 km north of Gjøvik.

Kviljoodden Nude Beach

This is an unofficial free beach at Lista, close to Vanse and Farsund. The beach is rarely used by others than naturists due to easier access to textile beaches in the region.

Sørlandet´s Naturist Centre, is the perfect place for naturists from both Norway and abroad lacated in Høvag.
