Røyken municipality has approximately 18.250 inhabitants and covers a area of 112,9 km2. The municipality of Hurum and Røyken are the coastal district in the county of Buskerud. This long, varied coastline extending from the Oslofjord to the Drammensfjord, features smooth rocks and beaches, marshy land and villages, farmland, islets and skerries. A marked coastal trail brings you past such treasures, like the charming white village of Nærsnes, but also pleasant boating places with lodging facilities etc. RAMTON PIER

GJERDAL
The beach Gjerdalstangen, is situated in the Drammenselva river. Here the water is shallow and perfect for young children.
SPIKKESTADBANEN
Spikkestadbanen is a 14 kilometre long railway line between Asker and Spikkestad. It was originally part of Drammenbanen between Oslo and Drammen which was built in 1872. In 1973 a new tunnel, Lieråsen Tunnel was built to shorten Drammensbanen, and much of the old line was closed down. The last train on the section between Spikkestad and Drammen ran June 2, 1973. However, the stretch between Asker and Spikkestad was kept as a branch line for local commuter traffic. The line was called Spikkestadlinjen until 2008.
FISHING
The long, varied coastline extending from the Oslofjord to the Drammensfjord, features a lot of good fishingplaces. The Drammen river from is one of the best salmon rivers in the country, where more than 40 species of fish have been registered. The season for salmon fishing stretches from May to September / October.
GOLF
Kjekstad Golfclub a 18-hole course. Kjekstad Golfclub is a golfcourse of good standard. Kjekstad have a ProShop, Driving Range and a Start grid with waffles.
