Vaksdal

Vaksdal municipality has approximately 4.100 inhabitants and covers a area of 715,6 km2. Dale is the centre of Vaksdal. Other places Vaksdal is Stanghelle, Stamnes and Matre. It has a railway station with connection to Voss and Bergen. A shopping centre lies about 1 km from the coast and has general stores, an ironmonger, clothing businesses, post office, bank, doctor and dentist.

Vaksdal Mill, founded in 1866, which produces flour, animal feed / fish meal and macaroni products.

You will also find Dale Fabrikker, one of Norway's most famous knitwear manufacturers with a shop adjacent to the factory.
