Just outside Kabelvåg lies the modern tourist centre, Nyvågar. Kabelvåg, Lofoten's oldest fishing village, has traditions dating back to the Middle Ages. Lofoten "Cathedral", the Aquarium and the Fishing Museum are worth visiting.
